I will represent the Astronomical Society of Kansas City along with David Young, John Fitzgerald, and Richard Schoenberger doing solar observing with the young ladies and gentlemen at the Jackson County Sheriff's day camp tomorrow and Friday August 6 & 7, 2015. Have so far only seen the pictures here on your website, I am impressed with your facility! I met Mike and Karen Ford in Puerto Vallarta for the big total solar eclipse in 1991 and am anxious to see them again. Let's hope the clouds cooperate and we all get to see the sun!

My Girl Scout troop-4 girls- and their parents will be camping at the Boy Scout campground up the road from the science center.  My theme for the camp is "Going Buggy" where we are going on a hike and going to collect insects to look at, hopefully identify, and then release back into nature.  Does your center have any info on insects or know anyone who has insects or is knowledgable about insects that would be willing to come and talk to us?  We will be there Saturday June 30-July 1.  Thanks!
